Now after retiring in 2002 is it time to concentrate my efforts in producing World Class players. Sara Sankey is an ex England International who has 98 caps for her Country, over 17 years.

She played for England juniors from U11 all the way through to U17, where at the age of 17 she first represented England at senior level. As a junior she won numerous International tournaments, not to mention every National title from U11 to U17.

As a senior England International, Sara played in 7 World Championships, 8 Uber Cups, 7 European Championships, 3 Commonwealth Games and 1 Olympics.

She has won various titles around the World and competed in most Countries. In the Commonwealth Games in 1990 in Auckland she won Team Gold and Ladies Doubles Gold in the individual as well as Silver in the Mixed Doubles. In 1998 in Kuala Lumpar she won Gold in the Team event, having just come back from a very serious injury that happened 10 weeks before. In 2002 in Manchester, this was Sara's farewell performances in her beloved Lancashire, where she gained a Gold in the Team event and a Bronze in the Mixed Doubles.

In the European Championships, she won 5 Silver Team medals, 1 Bronze Team Medal and 3 bronzes in the Ladies Doubles Individual event over three decades, in the 80's 90's and 00's.
